The acting from everyone was superb, however the portrayal of Gabriel by the very talented Garston Re was a knockout. It's very rare that two people are going to be on the same place (both geographically and life wise). Film Review: ‘The Blonde One’ Reviewed online, San Francisco, Aug. 25, 2019. I look forward to reading more reviews soon... Is Marco working on anything new at the minute? This film is quite a gem. A big bravo to Marco Berger, to the storytalers and to the independent argentinian cinema!!! on the other hand, Gabriel is the most interesting character, he has a girl and always seems to keep up with Juan's Duality, his eyes are full of melancholy and tiredness yet his face is comforting and ingenious and he's the most secure. She dates the cutest fraternity boy on campus and wants nothing more than to be Mrs. Warner Huntington III. The Blonde One A tentative friendship blossoms into a beautiful romance in this erotically-charged yet disarmingly sweet-natured offering from Marco Berger (Taekwondo). The actor who played Gabo was my favorite. Was this review helpful? Was this review helpful? She is "important" somehow. Another wonderful and realistic peice of art by Marco Berger. I have a couple of other films by Marco Berger at home (Plan B and Hawaii) and bought The Blonde One with fairly high expectations given the quality of Berger's previous films. I could relate to this story and I think it happens a lot. I have a quite large collection of gay films, and The Blonde One would most definately be in my top 4. The first of his movies that I watched was "Hawaii", then I moved to "Sexual Tension" and I realized how great he is telling stories full of desire, creating sexual tension. Marco Berger's best film to date, and one of the best gay films - on par with "Call Me By Your Name."
I have watched this film twice and will certainly watch it again. The story, even tho it may seem predictable at first, takes you through and array of unforeseen circumstances. An actor I want to see more of in the future. Dull and lifeless, in the return box. If you were affected by Brokeback Mountain or God's Own Country then you will surely appreciate this film.
