Quality book, loved the show and the book was amazing too i really enjoyed it

I purchased this book after watching the series...I thoroughly enjoyed the series so thought that I would also enjoy the book. I look forward to reading the next instalment I first watched the tv series back in 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it, this book was great, it was good for laughs but when there was the sad moments you felt the pain. It made me laugh so much I have since read it twice with the sister purchasing the second book for me for my mad fat birthday. You really do live vicariously through Rae! (I too had one of those ;-)) The diary is a history masterclass in what it was like to be a teenager in a time with less technology and much better music.

So great, so funny and deep and steeped in love -- I watched it with my 14-year-old daughter and we both loved it. Here, it was the biggest disappointment that the book did not really talk about Rae's mental issues, I would not even think how serious her condition was, but it almost made me cry, the way it was portrayed in the series. Had an excellent buildup made me want more.
